Over the past few weeks, several developments and small but important improvements have once again gone live in RoomRaiser. Most of them originated directly from user feedback, so we are especially pleased to have completed several features that you told us were missing or needed refinement.
Competitor rates — even more accurate observations
One of the most important updates concerns tracking competitors’ rates. We completely retuned the background processes so the system can collect and interpret market data even more accurately, reliably and consistently. The goal was not to change the source of the data, but to ensure that the displayed rates always reflect the freshest and most realistic possible view of the market.
Striking new features on the Dashboard: three new charts
One of the most interesting parts of the update is the Dashboard’s three new charts, which provide an early look at the Market Intelligence module currently in development. These new elements help you understand rate movements and your market position more easily, not only through numbers but also in a visual context.
Price Gap Analysis
By selecting an individual competitor, you can see the price difference between your property and that competitor over the upcoming period. Aligned to an “equal” line, the chart shows when you are more or less expensive.
Price Distribution Analysis
This chart shows the range and average of competitors’ rates on future dates, with your current rate marked in orange. It quickly reveals where you sit within the market range.
Competitive Position Heatmap
Perhaps the clearest new feature: in a calendar view, colours indicate your position in the rate competition on each date. The greener a date, the more favourable your position, while reddish shades indicate more expensive dates.
These charts not only make analysis easier, but also help you recognise market trends more quickly—insights that previously emerged only from the figures.
More detailed pricing transparency
The More button in the Calendar view now provides much more information. With a single click, you can see how the rate calculated for a given date is constructed: which factors and multipliers contributed to the final value. This is particularly useful for those who like to understand every step in the pricing logic precisely.
Special dates — weighting can now exceed double
The special-date setting has also become more flexible. Previously, the maximum weighting was double; following user requests, you can now increase it to as much as ten times. This allows the system to take truly important periods into account much more effectively—for example festivals, long weekends or special events where market demand is exceptionally high.
Separating room types
Another new feature is that you can now manage different room types entirely separately—for example, a hotel’s rooms and apartments managed alongside them. This is useful for operators running several properties with different profiles in one PMS interface: RoomRaiser can now treat them as separate entities, allowing their pricing to remain independent.
Integrations and practical refinements
The system now natively supports HostWare, Mews and D-Edge integrations, allowing RoomRaiser to work with even more PMS and channel-management platforms. We have also added a small but highly useful convenience feature: a complete property configuration can now be copied to another property in a single action. This is particularly useful for those managing multiple properties who do not want to copy the same settings manually again and again.
Looking ahead
These updates further reinforce our goal for RoomRaiser to be not only a pricing tool, but an intelligent, data-driven market decision-support system. The current features already prepare the way for this direction, and further analytics developments will arrive in the coming weeks.
As always, thank you for all your feedback—these experiences also inspire our next developments.
